Stefanos Linnaios at 4th “Vardaris”.

Stefanos Linnaios will walk the paths of the 4th International Chess Tournament "Vardaris". The exceptional actor, director, writer and above all, human, will share with us his experiences of his great career in arts, but also in chess. His presence, along with his beloved wife, Elli Fotiou, will be a wonderful opportunity to listen to his stories and understand through them another era that reaches current times. So, we are expecting, with great joy and impatience, this unique opportunity, this great artist and chess player.

Few biographical data.

He graduated from the Athens School of Arts and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He collaborated with many troupes in countless plays and appeared in many films (the recent one is “Kazantzakis”, a biography of the great Greek writer and philosopher by Yannis Smaragdis), radio shows and television. He is the founder of "Contemporary Greek Theater" at the “Alpha” theater in Athens. He has written short stories and many studies. He served as general secretary of the Greek Actors Association in 1966 and 1967 when he was suspended from his duties from the military dictatorship for political reasons. He is an advisor to the Hellenic Center of the International Theater Institute and a member of the British Actors' Association. He is married to the famous actor Elli Fotiou and despite their great artistic route, the greatest gift that they have acquired together, is their two children.
